Joc Pederson Continues To Sit Versus Lefties
4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson will sit against the New York Mets on Monday. Pederson's absence is due to the Cubs facing left-hander hurler David Peterson. Pederson has been having a very nice season with his new team and a big part of the reason that he came to the Cubs was to play every day, but manager David Ross has sat him regularly against southpaws this season. The slugger continues to be of value to managers seeking power that can deal with the low batting average. Pederson is hitting a respectable .244 with nine home runs and 26 games on the season. Outfielder Jake Marisnick will replace Pederson on Monday and bat fifth. Marisnick will bat fifth and is hitting .283 with four home runs, 15 RBI and four stolen bases. He is worth a look in DFS on Monday versus Peterson.
