San Francisco 49ers defensive back Jimmie Ward (hamstring) is currently questionable to suit up for Week 1. Head coach Kyle Shanahan mentioned it was a bad hamstring injury, so the team will wait and see how Ward progresses over the next few weeks. The former first round pick has been a reliable option for the 49ers over the last three seasons. He struggled with injuries earlier in his career, but has been fantastic lately. The loss of Ward would be a significant hit to the 49ers defense. George Odum and Tarvarius Moore would likely be in line for more playing time, assuming Ward does miss time.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
