Jett Williams Promoted To Double-A
1 year agoNew York Mets shortstop/outfield prospect Jett Williams has been promoted from High-A Brooklyn to Double-A Binghamton, according to sources. Williams, the team's No. 3 prospect per MLB Pipeline, earned the promotion after hitting a combined .266/.431/.461 with an .892 OPS, 13 home runs, 21 doubles, eight triples, 53 RBI, 44 stolen bases, 102 walks and 76 runs scored in 115 games with Single-A St. Lucie and Brooklyn. The 19-year-old had a 1.018 OPS in Brooklyn and has mostly played the 6 in the minors this year, but he also is athletic enough to be able to handle center field. Williams, a right-handed hitter and thrower, is just 5-foot-6 but has impressive power for his size.
