Jets Bring Back Ty Johnson
2 years agoThe New York Jets reached an agreement to re-sign running back Ty Johnson to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday, according to a source. The former sixth-round pick by the Detroit Lions in 2019 has spent the last two full seasons providing running back depth for the Jets. In 17 games (one start) for Gang Green in 2022, he had 30 carries for 160 yards and one touchdown, adding 12 receptions for 88 yards through the air. The 25-year-old also contributes on special teams, but he won't enter the 2023 season with any fantasy appeal behind Breece Hall, Michael Carter and Zonovan Knight.
