Jesus Sanchez Absent From Marlins Lineup
Jesus Sanchez is not in the team's starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the visiting Athletics. Kyle Stowers is starting in right field and is batting second, while Eric Wagaman is patrolling left field and batting cleanup versus A's rookie Gunnar Hoglund, who will be making his MLB debut. This will be Sanchez's second straight day of rest after the Marlins had an off day on Thursday. The 27-year-old Dominican hasn't found his footing at the plate yet after starting the year on the injured list. Sanchez is currently slashing .200/.310/.300 with only one home run, four RBI, three runs scored and a steal in 50 at-bats. He should be back in there on Saturday as the series continues in South Beach. Stowers and Wagaman could both be worth a look as DFS sleepers. Stowers, in particular, is intriguing after starting the year with a .323 average (31-for-96) with four homers and 19 RBI.
