New Jersey Devils right wing Jesper Bratt continued his red-hot start to the season with his fifth goal of the campaign in Thursday's 4-3 victory over Edmonton, posting a new franchise record for the longest season-opening point streak. The Swedish speedster has earned a point in 11 consecutive outings, breaking a tie with Tim Higgins, who had held the record since 1994-95. Bratt made history at the perfect time as well, as his goal was the game-winner 3:08 from the end of regulation. With Ryan Graves having tied the game just seven seconds earlier, there was reason to celebrate another franchise record, as it's the fastest two goals the Devils have scored. Bratt broke out last year with a 73-point campaign in 76 games, and it sure looks like he will do even better this term. Calgary will be the next team to try to cool down Bratt. He will enter Saturday's matchup with 17 points.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
