Jerry Jeudy Enters Second Season As A WR3
3 years agoDenver Broncos second-year wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is looking to kick off the 2021 season on a high note in Week 1 against the New York Giants. Jeudy struggled with drops and inconsistency (13 drops) in his rookie season, but the first-rounder still managed a healthy 52 receptions for 856 yards and three touchdowns with quarterback Drew Lock struggling. There will be more competition for targets with Courtland Sutton (knee) back from injury this year, but Jeudy should also see less attention from opposing defenses. Jeudy's stock would probably be a bit higher with the strong-armed Lock under center, but the downfield threat still has plenty of upside as a WR3 to enter the season. The Giants defense was one of the better units in 2020 against receivers in terms of limiting fantasy points per game, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see the Broncos passing game get off to a slow start.
