Jerrod Johnson to Interview for Eagles Offensive-Coordinator Job
Houston Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson is set to interview for the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive-coordinator position, a source told Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 Sports. Johnson was also a candidate for the offensive-coordinator job with the Miami Dolphins before they went with former Texans OC Bobby Slowik. The Eagles spoke with Johnson for the same position in 2024, too, before ultimately giving the job to Kellen Moore, who is now the head coach of the New Orleans Saints. Johnson has been Houston's QB coach since 2023 and has never held a coordinator position. If he were to land the job in Philadelphia, it remains to be seen if he'd be given play-calling responsibilities. Under Johnson, quarterback C.J. Stroud was amazing in his rookie season in 2023 before regressing in the last two seasons.
