2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr. will return to the backup role in San Francisco and does not have any fantasy value now that Christian McCaffrey has joined the team. The 26-year-old figures to retain a role in the backfield in Week 7, in which the 49ers host the Chiefs, but it is hard to predict how large of a role he might have. The trade for McCaffrey comes just a couple of days before the game, so McCaffrey won't have much time to learn the offense or get settled in. The Chiefs run defense is near the league average.
