Carolina Panthers coach Jeff Nixon will take over as the team's offensive coordinator after the team parted ways with offensive coordinator Joe Brady on Sunday. Nixon got his career started at Penn State alongside head coach Matt Rhule when the two were grad assistants in the late 90s. Nixon also coached alongside Rhule at Temple and was Rhule's offensive coordinator at Baylor. The Panthers made the move away from Brady to try and improve an offense that currently ranks 28th in third-down efficiency and 23rd in red-zone efficiency. Nixon has an extensive background as a running backs coach, and he's likely to use the run to set up downfield shots through the air. The Panthers have only 16 plays of 25-plus yards this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
