Jeff McNeil Leaves Wednesday's Game Due To Fatigue
Jeff McNeil was removed from Wednesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds in the eighth inning. After the game, Mets manager Luis Rojas told reporters that McNeil wasn't hurt, but was instead just dealing with fatigue. The removal came after McNeil attempted to run out a ground ball and there was initial speculation that he may have tweaked something on the play. Rojas explained that McNeil wasn't sore at all and that the move was a "precautionary decision." The Mets are off on Thursday, so McNeil will have a built-in day-off before resuming play against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday.
