Jeferson Quero Expected to Move Rehab to Triple-A Soon
Jeferson Quero (hamstring, shoulder) injured his hamstring just as he was completing his comeback from last year's shoulder surgery. Quero is now expected to move from the rookie-level Arizona Complex League to Triple-A Nashville as soon as next Monday, according to MLB.com. In six games in the ACL, Quero has gone 2-for-15 with two home runs, three RBI, four runs scored, five walks and one strikeout. The 22-year-old catching prospect missed all of the 2024 season due to his shoulder surgery, but he's past that injury now and is getting close to making his 2025 debut in the minor leagues. Per MLB Pipeline, Quero is Milwaukee's No. 2 prospect and the fifth-best catching prospect. Despite being one of the best catching prospects in all of baseball, Quero is currently blocked at the big-league level by William Contreras.
