Jayson Tatum's Second-Half Fantasy Outlook
7 years agoBoston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has had an above-average rookie season marked by an exceptional start that featured nearly 50 percent shooting from deep for the better part of 2017. The new calendar year and the slog of the long, professional season seems to have gotten to Tatum’s efficiency. Shooting just 31.7 percent from three-point land over the last 30 games, his season average is down to 42.7 percent. While there still may be room for regression, he’s a better shooter than what he’s shown over the last 30 games. While struggling from deep, he’s turned his focus to driving and getting to the bucket while also relying more on his mid-range game. Tatum could be a buy-low opportunity, though it’s not guaranteed he will find his early-season form. For owners, continue to enjoy the high minutes and expect him to shoot better with some rest following the All-Star break.
