Javonte Williams Totals 49 Yards On 10 Touches In Week 10
3 years agoDenver Broncos running back Javonte Williams carried the ball eight times for a team-high 48 yards (three more than Melvin Gordon) and caught two of his three targets for just one additional yard in the 30-13 Week 10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Williams gained an impressive six yards per carry in this one, but the Broncos were playing from behind all day and just weren't able to stick with their preferred run-first approach after going for 190 total rushing yards in the Week 9 upset win over the Dallas Cowboys. There's a lot to like about Williams' long-term outlook, but he's scored only two touchdowns (to Gordon's seven) heading into the Week 11 bye and will likely continue to split the workload evenly with Gordon in Week 12 and beyond.
