Jasson Dominguez 2026 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Intriguing Power/Speed Potential, but Role Remains Uncertain
New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez heads into the 2026 campaign with uncertainty surrounding his role in a crowded outfield, with talk of the Dominican even starting the season in the minors in order to get regular at-bats. If the switch-hitter can make the Opening Day roster, there are enough tools there to make him an intriguing roster piece for fantasy. Bat speed registers at 80th percentile while hard-hit rate comes in at 85th percentile, which got him to 10 home runs last season despite being limited to 381 at-bats after being relegated to a reserve role over the final two months (one home run in August and September combined). The former top prospect even managed to swipe 23 bases on the back of 84th percentile sprint speed. It feels like Dominguez has been around forever, but he's still only 23 years old, so there is still time for him to develop. With the aging Giancarlo Stanton's extensive injury history, it's worth monitoring how the situation shakes out during spring training. The youngster's NFBC ADP of 208 overall doesn't appear to bake in the potential for limited playing time or even the possibility of starting the season in the minors, though, which is why RotoBaller ranks him a bit lower, at 226 overall.
