Minnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon popped up with a couple of big goals in Tuesday's contest against Washington, lifting the team to a 4-2 road victory. He had an answer to Martin Fehervary's opening goal and potted the eventual game-winner. Spurgeon posted his seventh career multi-goal game and tied Matt Dumba for the most by a defenseman in franchise history. The Wild captain has been having a slow start to 2023, but he's had a good season overall with seven goals and 21 points registered in 43 outings. Compared to last season, his points production has dropped, but Spurgeon is on his career average scoring pace of 0.45 points per game. He is also the team leader with 95 blocks and boasts 39 hits.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
