The Seattle Kraken made a surprise move on Wednesday and placed top-scoring forward Jared McCann on the injured list with an upper-body issue. Acquired during the expansion draft last summer, the forward leads the club in goals (21) and points (33) through 48 games. McCann, 25, could be a long-term option for the club and he's enjoyed a career year after surpassing his previous high in goals (14) and coming close to his best points total (35). The loss of McCann is an unfortunate one for his fantasy owners but there is no indication that he's dealing with a long-term injury.
