Jared Goff Unlikely To Play On Thanksgiving
3 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff (oblique), who will sit in favor of Tim Boyle in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns, is considered unlikely to be recovered enough in time to play next Thursday on Thanksgiving against the Chicago Bears in Week 12. There is a belief around the league that the team's QB situation for this season and beyond is very much in flux, and the Lions haven't addressed what would happen if Boyle were to play well in place of Goff this weekend. The Lions signed him this year with the idea of potentially having him audition for the starting job. But if Boyle struggles, the team could turn to David Blough, who will serve as Boyle's backup against Cleveland. Boyle will be a low-end QB2 for fantasy managers desperate in superflex leagues.
