Jared Goff, John Wolford Decision Will Wait
4 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has no plans to reveal whether it'll be quarterback Jared Goff (thumb) or John Wolford under center before kickoff of the wild-card playoff game against the Seahawks on Saturday. Goff had surgery on his right thumb last week and while there is a possibility that he can return to face Seattle, nothing is guaranteed. McVay said that Goff has "thrown a couple balls" but didn't say whether he'd taken any snaps. Wolford made his first career start in the Week 17 win over the Cardinals, throwing for 231 yards and an interception while adding 56 rushing yards on six carries. Goff threw for 20 touchdowns this year and gives the Rams the best chance to win, but he also turned the ball over 17 times and will be an extremely risky fantasy QB if he's active. There's also the chance that both Goff and Wolford play on Saturday.
