Jameson Taillon Throws Off Bullpen Mound
4 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (elbow), who is roughly 10 months removed from his second Tommy John surgery, threw off a bullpen mound at PNC Park on Tuesday. It's good progress for Taillon, but it remains unlikely that the Bucs will risk using him during the shortened 2020 season that is set to begin on July 23 or 24. They'd be more likely to use him late in the season if they are in contention for a postseason spot, but that's also unlikely given the team's current roster and no expanded playoffs. Taillon could come at a real nice discount for fantasy owners in 2021 drafts, but you can keep him off your radar if you're drafting soon ahead of the coronavirus-shortened season.
