James Robinson Resting Thursday
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson (heel, knee) is expected to get every Thursday practice off for the rest of the season as part of a load management plan. Robinson has been dealing with heel and knee injuries since Week 8, but he was limited on Wednesday and should be active this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. His usage has been frustrating in recent weeks, with the Jaguars coaching staff benching him twice in the last two weeks due to lost fumbles. It's clear that veteran Carlos Hyde isn't the answer, though, and Robinson could see a much heavier workload against Tennessee after rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence lobbied for Robinson to stay on the field more. Despite facing a strong Titans run defense, Robinson will be firmly in the RB2 mix coming off his eight-carry, 24-yard performance in the blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
