James Paxton Comes Up Big Against Astros
5 years agoNew York Yankees starter James Paxton twirled six innings of one-run baseball as the Yankees closed the gap in the ALCS with a 4-1 win over the Astros. After making it only 2 1/3 innings earlier in the series, Paxton had his best stuff in this crucial Game 5. 'Big Maple' scattered four hits and racked up nine strikeouts in a game that he threw 1112 pitches. Paxton may be done for the series but the Yankees are alive, for now, as the series moves to Houston for Game 6.
