Jameis Winston Ruled Out After Suffering Knee Injury
3 years agoUpdating a previous report, New Orleans Saints quarterback Jameis Winston (knee) was ruled out for the rest of the Week 8 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Winston was injured during a horse-collar tackle in the first half when his knee buckled. It didn't look pretty, and Winston was carted to the locker room after being evaluated in the blue medical tent. Backup Trevor Siemian has taken over under center. If Winston is forced to miss additional time, all of the Saints offensive skill players would need to be downgraded in fantasy, although they could rely even more on running back Alvin Kamara and the ground game. Winston went 6-for-10 for 56 yards and a touchdown before getting injured, adding 40 rushing yards on four carries. QB Taysom Hill (concussion) missed his second straight game, but he could be an option to start next week if Winston is unable to make it back.
