Jamal Murray Bags First Double-Double Since Return
2 years agoDenver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray registered his first double-double since returning to action, notching 14 points and 10 assists in Friday's heavy loss to Boston. It's his first double-double since March 2020. Murray also logged a season-high 35 minutes, so this game should be very encouraging for fantasy managers. Denver's star guard shot 6-for-17 from the field with a 1-for-5 effort from behind the arc and added four rebounds to his tally without committing a single turnover. Murray has so far been able to get 15.5 points this season with 3.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists while averaging fewer than 29 minutes a night. He has received a significant boost in playing time this month and it sure looks like Murray is close to getting back to his best. However, he could lose some momentum in the next matchup, as it comes against the Bulls, who have the third-best defensive record in the league against point guards.
