Jalin Hyatt 2024 Fantasy Football Outlook: Upside Is There, Worth A Late-Round Flier In Best Best Ball
6 months agoNew York Giants wide receiver Jalin Hyatt flashed brilliance but sputtered with inconsistency for the Giants in 2023. First off, Hyatt's blazing speed is no secret. Clocking a 4.31 40-yard dash, he's a nightmare for defenders and a dream for deep-ball-loving quarterbacks. With Daniel Jones' (knee) health and Hyatt's ability to stretch the field, expect him to take another step. The 22-year-old did lead the Giants' receiving corps in yards per catch (a respectable 16.2) last season. He also saw a decent amount of snaps, placing third among Giants receivers. However, his production was touchdown-less and frustrating. This inconsistency was a result of a combination of factors: a struggling Giants' passing attack (ranked second to last in 2023) and his difficulties in separating from defenders. In addition, the Giants' crowded receiver room might dampen his target share. With wideouts like Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson, and rookie phenom Malik Nabers on the roster, the ball will most likely be spread around. So, should you draft him? Maybe, and with tempered expectations. Hyatt has upside with the potential to explode if the Giants' offense clicks, but he is a depth wide receiver or the best ball dart throw heading into 2024 fantasy drafts. The 2023 third-round pick is RotoBaller's 91st-ranked wide receiver, and with an NFFC ADP of WR151, Hyatt is valuable and worth a late-round flier in best-ball leagues.
