4 months agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Jalen Hurd could eventually transition to being a tight end in the NFL based on his size and hands, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan. Hurd also has experience as a running back and could see time in the backfield, if needed. Hurd gives the Niners some flexibility on offense, but it sounds as though they'd prefer him to play heavier and line up as a tight end instead of a receiver. The 49ers already have one of the best tight ends in the game in George Kittle, so Hurd will likely be a developmental project the next year or two.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
