Jalen Brunson Nets Season-High 34 Points
2 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson scored a season-high 34 points Monday in a dominating 129-119 win over OKC. It was an incredibly hot 14-for-20 shooting night for him and Brunson wasn't far away from a double-double either, recording nine assists with one turnover in 34 minutes. He also had one steal while shooting 1-for-6 from downtown. Brunson, who earned a big contract from the Knicks in the offseason, has finally started to play like he's worth every buck of the $104 million deal. He's gone for 20-plus points with rock-solid shooting numbers in four of his past five games. Following some off time, Brunson gets a pair of really good matchups to close out the week, with the Knicks facing Portland and Memphis. Both teams are without their backcourt superstars, which should mean that Brunson doesn't have to spend too much energy on the defensive end and can focus on leading his side's offense.
