Jaleel McLaughlin Sees Only Six Touches In Win Over Chiefs
1 year agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Jaleel McLaughlin took a back seat once again to teammate Javonte Williams in the 24-9 upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in Week 8. Williams dominated backfield touches with 30 (27 carries, three catches), while McLaughlin only saw six touches -- four carries for 33 yards and two receptions (two targets) for six yards. The 23-year-old has been impressive so far in 2023, but he's the clear No. 2 in Denver's backfield behind Williams, who appears to be hitting his stride after looking sluggish early on while returning from a season-ending knee injury in 2022. At best, McLaughlin is an RB3/flex option for fantasy managers as long as Williams remains healthy.
