Jakob Poeltl Seeks Around $20 Million Per Year In Free Agency
2 years agoToronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl will command a significant salary in free agency this summer. The Austrian giant has finished up a three-year contract worth a little over $26 million, and he is now reportedly looking for a deal that will have an average salary in the $20 million range. The Raptors brought Poeltl back from San Antonio midseason in a trade that cost the club multiple draft picks, so they should be very interested in getting a new deal done with him. But the 27-year-old should also be an attractive piece for any other team looking for a center. Poeltl has enjoyed back-to-back strong seasons and did very well during his 26-game spell in Toronto, putting up 13.1 points with 9.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.

2 days agoToronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (rest) is expected to return to action on Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls, as the team has not listed him on the injury report. While on the court, Poeltl has dominated, averaging 20.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in 26.1 minutes over his past four appearances. His presence in the lineup limits the fantasy potential of Orlando Robinson and Jonathan Mogbo.

2 weeks agoBlake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports that Toronto Raptors center, Jakob Poeltl (rest), won't play against the Phoenix Suns on Monday.
