Colorado Rockies relief pitcher Jake McGee has always ridden a fine line between great and terrible, and it appears 2018 might be another terrible year. McGee was called on for a tough lefty-lefty showdown with Brandon Belt on Sunday, and he lost in spectacular fashion as he gave up a three-run home run that would end up being the game-deciding blast. To further punctuate the poor outing, McGee then gave up a second straight homer followed by a pair of singles. He did pick off one of those runners at first before being replaced, but that would be the only out of the appearance. In his career, McGee has posted four seasons with an ERA under 4.00, and three seasons with an ERA over 4.00. So far, it looks like 2018 will add one to the latter column.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
