Buffalo Sabres defenseman Jake McCabe scored his first goal of the season and Buffalo's only goal in a 5-1 loss to the Sharks on Thursday night. His goal came on his only shot of the night, but he did add five blocks, four penalty minutes, and one hit in a rare fantasy explosion for McCabe. In a game where Buffalo's offense struggled to gain any footing, recording only 25 shots, it was surprising that their lone goal came from a defenseman with 11 career goals. Even now that he is on a two-game point streak, McCabe holds no fantasy value, but if Buffalo can find sustainable secondary scoring then players like Jack Eichel or Kyle Okposo should be able to find more consistent success.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
