Jake Junis Allows Three HRs In Loss
7 years agoThe Kansas City Royals dropped their sixth game in a row on Friday, and a large part of that was thanks to starting pitcher Jake Junis giving up three home runs in just 5 1/3 innings. That brings Junis' 2018 total to 15 home runs allowed, vaulting him back into a tie for seventh most in the league. Junis has some great traits like his 8.55 K/9 and 2.14 BB/9, but his 4.05 ERA is also being buoyed by a fortunate 81 percent strand rate that's inflated by some very early-season success. For now, Junis is a mediocre pitcher, but there's potential there that should keep him on watch lists in most leagues.
