Taking the mound in the series finale against the Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies starter Jake Arrieta rebounded after a hiccup in St. Louis his last time out. The 32-year-old was clutch, tossing 6 2/3 of scoreless baseball, allowing seven runs and a walk, but recording seven strikeouts. While his club didn’t have a monster game on offense, they did enough, scoring four runs to pick up a 4-0 victory. The result improved Arrieta’s record to 4-2 on the year, while his ERA dipped down to 2.45 on the year. With the victory, the Phillies once again moved to half a game behind the NL East leaders.--RDelgado
