Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen has signed a two-year extension with the team. The 32-year-old was set to become an unrestricted free agent next offseason before inking the new deal, which ups his cap hit to $3,850,000. Allen's current deal carries an average annual value of $2,875,000. The 2019 Stanley Cup champion is set for another season as Montreal's No. 1, with Carey Price (knee) remaining on the sidelines. Allen is coming off a poor year, which he ended with a 9-20-4 record. He likely won't be able to improve much either, as Montreal is expected to be among the worst teams in the league again.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
