Jaguars Plan On Retaining Josh Allen
11 months agoJacksonville Jaguars general manager Trent Baalke said that pass-rusher Josh Allen, who is set to be an unrestricted free agent this March after posting 17.5 sacks (third in the NFL) in 2023, will be back in 2024. "Josh Allen is going to be a Jaguar next year," Baalke said. Negotiations between the two sides haven't started yet, but it's definitive Allen isn't going anywhere, and the franchise tag is available if the Jaguars need to use it. The former No. 7 overall pick now has 45 sacks in 74 career games for Jacksonville and has become of the best pass-rushers in the league, so it makes sense why the Jags are so adamant about not letting him hit the open market. The two-time Pro Bowler will most likely become one of the highest-paid pass-rushers in the NFL and will also be a high-end defensive lineman in IDP leagues in 2024.
