Jacob Wilson Riding Five-Game Hitting Streak On Rehab Assignment
6 months agoOakland Athletics shortstop prospect Jacob Wilson (knee) has performed very well through the first week of his rehab assignment and should be rejoining Triple-A Las Vegas very soon. The top prospect in the Oakland system has tallied at least one hit in each of his five games in the Rookie League, including a four-hit performance on June 22. Wilson made his Triple-A debut on May 8 but was only able to play in six games before hitting the injured list. Through this small sample size, Wilson showcased his elite hitting skills with a .375/.400/.458 slash line. The Grand Canyon University product was selected with the sixth overall pick in last year's MLB Draft and could push for a late-season MLB Debut. He is considered the 53rd-best prospect on MLB.com and should remain stashed in all dynasty leagues.
