Jacob deGrom Dealing With Forearm Tightness
12 months agoTexas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said that starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (forearm) left his start on Friday against the New York Yankees early due to left-forearm tightness. The team will continue to evaluate him on Saturday, but this is an ominous sign for the oft-injured right-hander. Before leaving, deGrom allowed no runs and only one hit while walking one and striking out two in 3 2/3 innings to lower his season ERA to 2.67. Until we know more, fantasy managers should consider the 34-year-old day-to-day, but given deGrom's long list of injuries over the years, we may want to expect a trip to the injured list. A lengthy absence would obviously be terrible news for the Rangers and fantasy managers. Stay tuned for more updates on deGrom.
