Jacob deGrom Dealing With Forearm Tightness
2 years agoTexas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said that starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (forearm) left his start on Friday against the New York Yankees early due to left-forearm tightness. The team will continue to evaluate him on Saturday, but this is an ominous sign for the oft-injured right-hander. Before leaving, deGrom allowed no runs and only one hit while walking one and striking out two in 3 2/3 innings to lower his season ERA to 2.67. Until we know more, fantasy managers should consider the 34-year-old day-to-day, but given deGrom's long list of injuries over the years, we may want to expect a trip to the injured list. A lengthy absence would obviously be terrible news for the Rangers and fantasy managers. Stay tuned for more updates on deGrom.
