Jack Flaherty To Throw Bullpen Saturday
Jack Flaherty (shoulder) will throw his first bullpen session on Saturday. Flaherty was shut down in March with discomfort in his throwing shoulder and received a platelet-rich plasma injection shortly thereafter. The 26-year-old will be permitted to throw all of his pitches during the bullpen session, giving hope that he could be closer to going on a rehab assignment than expected, although his timeline for a return to the field is still unclear. Flaherty was excellent in 2021, posting a 9-2 record, 3.22 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 85 strikeouts across 78 1/3 innings of work.
