Jack Flaherty To Start Game 2 Of NLDS
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty will start Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Braves on Friday. Flaherty was outstanding this year, going 11-8 with a 2.75 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 231 strikeouts in 196 1/3 innings over his 33 starts for the Red Birds. As good as he was as a whole, the 23-year-old right-hander closed out September with a sparkling 0.82 ERA (four earned runs in 44 innings over his last six starts). He'll surely be a popular DFS pick in postseason tournaments. Flaherty allowed three earned runs while walking five and striking out 13 in two starts (12 innings) against the Braves this season.
