J.T. Realmuto Could Be Activated This Weekend

Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto (knee) is "very close," according to manager Rob Thomson, and he could be activated from the 10-day injured list this weekend in the series in Pittsburgh against the Pirates. Realmuto has been out since the middle of June after having surgery on the meniscus in his right knee, but the All-Star backstop is nearing a return to the Phillies lineup early in the second half of the season. When the 33-year-old veteran is back, he'll take over regular starting duties behind the plate and send Garrett Stubbs back to a backup role at the position. There's no way that Realmuto should be floating around the waiver wire in any fantasy league. When healthy, he's a must-start in fantasy and remains one of the best offensive players at his position on the best team in baseball.
