J.K. Dobbins 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Primed For Big Year
1 year agoBaltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins struggled with injuries again in 2022, limiting him to only eight games played. He missed the first two contests of the year, attempting to return from a significant knee injury. Even after that, he took a couple more weeks to find his form before being held out from Weeks 7 to 13. However, the 24-year-old did finish strong, racking up 397 yards and two touchdowns during the final four weeks. Furthermore, he averaged the highest yards per attempt in the NFL at 5.7, finished second in efficiency, and produced the second-most breakaway runs among tailbacks with fewer than 100 carries. The team also provided a vote of confidence by refraining from bolstering their backfield in the draft while adding only Melvin Gordon in free agency. Plus, the Ravens are well known for their commitment to their ground attack, finishing third in attempts and sixth in yards last season, positioning Dobbins for a bounce-back campaign. The Ravens recently activated Dobbins from the PUP list. Dobbins is currently ranked 19th in RotoBaller's rankings, making him a player to target because of his upside and talent.
