Immanuel Quickley Could Get Significant Extension
Immanuel Quickley was a significant part of the rotation throughout this past season. The 23-year-old averaged 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 81 games. He was a finalist for Sixth Man of the Year, which should help him in contract discussions. Quickley is still under contract for one more season, but it wouldn't be shocking if the Knicks begin discussing an extension soon. Quickley has the potential to be a legitimate starter in the league. He averaged 22.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists in 21 games as a starter. Recent rumors have Quickley getting around $80-100 million over the course of a four-year deal. That sounds reasonable given his potential and what Quickley has done this past season.
