2 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin has led the team out on the ice for Tuesday's season opener against the Lightning. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner and his team should be very fired up for the clash after Tampa Bay ended the Rangers' season last term with a 4-2 win in the Eastern Conference Finals. Shesterkin had a solid series in the matchup and also shined against the Lightning during the regular season last year, going a perfect 3-0-0 with only four total goals allowed. The Russian netminder will go head-to-head with his compatriot Andrei Vasilevskiy, who carries a pretty poor 3-4-2 career record against the Rangers.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
