6/22:Colorado Rockies first baseman Ian Desmond is famous for his power/speed combination, but he seems to be trying to turn over a new leaf. A very peaceful leaf. Desmond drew three walks on Thursday, and that is astounding in its own right because he's only done that four other times in his entire career. What makes it more surprising is the fact that it's actually the second straight game where he's drawn three walks. Desmond went 0-for-2 with six walks over the last two games of the Mets series. He's never drawn three walks twice in the same season before, much less in back-to-back games. Still trying to pull his batting average out of the huge hole his rough start caused, such patience is impressive to see and will hopefully translate to even better at-bats in the future.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
