6 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Ian Desmond is hitting .198 on the season, and logically, that's why he's on the waiver wire in many leagues. However, after a big day in Atlanta that included a double and a home run, Desmond is really on his way up. Over his last 10 games, Desmond is hitting .310 with a pair of homers, eight runs scored, six RBI, and four doubles. His strikeout rate is an astounding 15% over the course of time, and he's even walked twice. Desmond has fully embraced his approach of swinging for the fences every time out, but if he's able to stay anywhere close to this level of contact, he'll actually be a worthy fantasy contributor.
