Colorado Rockies first baseman/outfielder Ian Desmond will be sad to leave New York. Desmond hit a pair of solo home runs on Sunday to help cap off his best series in a month. Over the course of the three-game series, Desmond racked up four hits, something he hadn’t done since a three-game contest with the Padres at the start of April. Desmond is still underperforming terribly in 2018, hitting just .188 so far. However, he has cracked six homers and stolen three bases so far. If his .198 BABIP starts to recover, he could still have a nice season overall, even if his batting average ends up a bit depressed.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
