Hunter Greene Tosses Seven Scoreless Frames In No-Decision
5 months agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene tossed seven scoreless frames on Saturday afternoon. He allowed just three hits and two free passes and struck out seven. The 24-year-old never got into much trouble as he never had more than one baserunner at a time. In his previous start, Greene allowed just one earned run across four ⅔ frames. While the former second-overall pick has begun to take the next step in his development this season, he has still shown inconsistencies at times, as he has allowed at least four earned runs in five starts. Across 104 ⅓ frames this season, Greene sits with a solid 3.45 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and a 43:116 BB:K ratio. Greene remains a high-upside starting pitcher in all formats and will be a popular DFS play in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled for July 11 against the Colorado Rockies.
