Hunter Greene Dealing With Hip Stiffness
2 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene (hip) is dealing with some hip stiffness and won't make his next start until next Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals. As a result, the Reds are calling up prospect Andrew Abbott to make his major-league debut on Monday against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Reds don't think the 23-year-old right-hander's hip injury is very serious, but he'll have added risk in his next start against the Cardinals. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried yet, as Greene has had back-to-back awesome starts, allowing just one run on two hits while walking five and striking out 19 in 12 innings in his last two starts against the Cubs and Red Sox. Overall, he's gone 1-4 with a 3.92 ERA (3.48 FIP), 1.32 WHIP, 25 walks and 88 K's in 62 innings over his 12 starts.
