Homer Bailey Struggles Again
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Homer Bailey took another loss on Sunday as he surrendered four earned runs to the Angels in six innings of work. The majority of the damage was done in the first inning when four of the first five hitters he faced hit safely, culminating in a bases loaded double by Albert Pujols. In the world of moral victories, Bailey at least helped his team out by settling down and going another five innings afterwards, allowing the bullpen to get some much needed time off. Unfortunately, it's rare that fantasy leagues care about moral victories, and so Bailey remains unworthy of a roster spot in most leagues. At least he'll have a desirable matchup later this week against the Tigers.
