Hector Neris Pick Up Save Monday
7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies closer Hector Neris picked up the save with a clean inning Monday against the Atlanta Braves. Neris struck out one of the three batters he faced. It has been difficult to figure out who will be getting saves for manager Gabe Kapler recently, but Monday it was the team leader Neris picking up his ninth save of the year. The right-hander now has a 4.50 ERA and is one of three relievers who have picked up saves recently, along with Seranthony Dominguez and Edubray Ramos. It will likely depend on matchups, making it a headache to own any of them. Dominguez, however, is a must-own in leagues that count saves and holds, as he is still yet to give up a run this season. He pitched the eighth inning Monday and now has four holds in 2018.
